Welcome
to Shenyang Red River Centre. The staff and students hope that you
will have a satisfying educational and social experience.
Staff from SRRC will meet your flight at the Shenyang Airport and
take you to the Centre. You will conveniently live and work in the
Centre, which is a modern renovated school with up-to-date equipment
and furniture.
Living quarters are modern and of adequate size having a
kitchen-sitting room, a bathroom and a bedroom. The kitchen is
equipped with appliances as fridge, microwave oven, rice cooker or
steamer, toaster, burner cooker, and a water machine with hot and
cold drinking water. Basic dishes and utensils are supplied along
with cupboards and sink. A wall-mounted marble table divides the
kitchen from the living area, which has two sitting chairs, a table
and lamp. This room is very bright due to the two large windows.
Local calls are free of charge through the telephone in each
apartment. To place a call outside Shenyang, you have to use a
national or international phone card.
The bathroom is off the kitchen and has a large bath towel and two
hand towels are supplied. Over the sink, the wall is covered with a
large mirror. The shower curtain is supplied.
In the bedroom, there is a queen size bed and two night tables and
lamp. The television is also installed with over 20 channels
including three English channels available at this time ¨CCCTV

and ABC. One entire wall is built-in with a clothes closet, a
bookshelf and a desk with chair. Also, in this room are two large
windows. Fresh bed linens are supplied every second week.
Heat, cooling and electric are supplied also at no cost, as is the
cleaning of your suite every second week. For an additional fee,
100 Yuan/month presently (less than C$20 per month), you may have
all your laundry done on Monday or Wednesday by the housekeeping
staff in the laundry on the first floor. This room is open certain
hours for your use if needed.
Students are eager to assist you in any way you may require-carrying
your things to and from class, going shopping or sightseeing with
you, introducing you to the best locations in which to buy, and to
help you bargain for your purchases. Staff, too, are most
cooperative in helping to make your experience in China a great one.
