                                                             As we enter the New Year of 2007 our Center Voice newsletter presents a new look ! With the new editing strategy and layout, it will play an more important role as an information tool at Shenyang Red River Center (SRRC). It will be a good field for cross-cultural communication as well as for students and staff to display their achievements in English language teaching and learning.
       SRRC is a joint venture established between Shenyang Electric Power Institute (SEPI) and Red River College (RRC) in Manitoba, Canada. Competency Based and Students Focused concepts have been introduced in teaching and management practice since its founding in 1998. It was evaluated as an AAA Joint Educational Institution by Liaoning Education Administration in March 2001.
      SRRC is a happy international family. Students who have the desire to learn will find that SRRC is an ideal internationalized environment to study English language and to experience different cultures. Foreign staff who exhibits an open mind and a flexible nature is welcome to join us. Our English speaking Chinese staff conscientiously strives to assist you in meeting the new challenges you encounter due to cultural differences and different working environment.
      China is going through many changes in all aspects of its economy and society. These changes, plus the pace of the changes, present many exciting and challenging opportunities. Our greatest wish is that the time you spend with us will be a positive experience and will benefit your life.
      Through the first edition of Center Voice in the Year of Goat, on behalf of SRRC, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the support and assistance we have received from all of you - students, staff, colleagues, leaders and friends. We look forward to your continuing support in the future.
